Life Cycle

A plastic that doesn’t use our limited fossil fuels AND reduces greenhouse gas emissions. A plastic that can be carbon neutral. How about a closed resource cycle so there’s no waste ever? Sounds too good to be true…….

Drum roll … Enter Bio-Plastics.

Bio-plastics in the web of life

Here’s how we’ve worked out the sustainability of bio-plastic. Our key tool is the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). It’s the standard to measure the environmental impact of products or services. The global market for bio-plastics, European Bio-plastics, endorses LCA and Life Cycle Thinking (LCT) to promote, quantify and verify the environmental sustainability of products.

LCA allows you to look at all stages in a product’s life. It spans from extracting the resources to disposing the product. It looks at current impacts, alternative scenarios and what improvements are achieved. There’s no one-size-fits all when doing a life cycle assessment of all bio-plastics. You need to do an assessment for each specific product or service. That doesn’t mean you can hold up assessments for two different products or services and compare them. You’d be limited in trying to make a sound comparison. That’s why, with the emerging industry of bio-plastics, the assessments also detail potential improvements in the life cycle and how to go about them.

About Our Product

We have completed Life Cycle Assessments on all of its products. We use tapico as our main ingredient, it means our products tick the box for being both biobased and biodegradable.  Our products are plant-sourced and offset their own carbon footprint by breaking down must faster and more easily than petro-chemical based ones. We are a member of the Indian Bioplastics Association and can attest our products are 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable. It’s a win for everyone and the planet.

  • Our Compostable products can bio-degrade in any conditions whether its dumped into landfill, ocean, chemical and industrial processes within 30 to 180 days.
  • Our Compostable material when dumped into landfills or home composting areas acts as a fertilizer for the soil and makes the land more fertile.
  • Our Hot water Soluble Product Dissolves in Hot Water above 80 degrees.
  • Our Hot water Soluble Product , when lit, burns like paper.

To make conventional plastics – the ones we’ve come to love yet hate, such as PE, PP, PET – we dig up fossil fuels to refine into petrochemicals. That’s a hefty process which increases  – C02 in the atmosphere, global average temperatures, the greenhouse effect, floods, thunderstorms and droughts.

Increased C02 emissions is a concern to all. Thus, most governments and organisations have agreed to do something about reducing emissions. Environmental policies spell out specific targets. India also has a range of policies to support these. Under the government’s climate change plan, our country must cut greenhouse gas emissions by 5% below 2000 levels by 2020. It also aims to achieve between 26% and 28% below 2005 levels by 2030.

Well, according to the Indian Bioplastics Association, bio-based and biodegradable bio-plastics can significantly reduce C02 emissions compared to traditional plastics. Two key advantages are their renewability and availability. Across the world, too, people are taking notice of the power of bio-plastics. For example, the European Commission feels so strongly about it, they’re funding research to create a machine to sort bio-plastics from other plastics.

Increasing Demand for Biodegradable Plastic Bags in the whole world

Plastic bags are manufactured from lean, handy plastic materials, particularly one with handles provided by a store to carry items bought there. It has been invented for more than 50 years since its inception in India. However, now the world is utilizing a big quantity of poly bags for carrying items and preserving meals. The polythene bags are part of a trendy life-style. Whereas Biodegradable Bags are completely different. Well, you should know about its Life Cycle. Anyway, many of the polybags will exist on this planet even after they’re deposed. The random use of plastic buying bags has been a main and visual environmental downside for a lot of nations on this planet. A landfill survey in 2015 in India signifies that some 20 billion plastic purchasing bags are disposed of at landfills yearly. This interprets into greater than three plastic purchasing bags per particular person per day, which apparently transcend the capability of the pure atmosphere. Many nations in Europe and America are actually pushing using biodegradable plastic bags which are compostable in assured services.

Original 100% Biodegradable Plastic Bags Needs To Be Compostable

There are worldwide requirements for plastic bag composting. Individually the compostable carry bags association with these requirements are licensed biodegradable. In other words, the patron tendency is making a variety of plastic bags producers switching to the manufacturing of atmosphere pleasant bags. These bags are a bit dearer however extra pleasant to our surroundings.

How Biodegradable Plastic bags manufactured?

According to Wikipedia, biodegradable plastic bags are made accurately the same means as standard plastic bags.
We use biodegradable resin as raw materials. The biodegradable resin contains an additive like starch. While you put natural matter inside, the bacteria eat up the starch and the plastic disintegrates. Right here the granules soften and spread out like a bubble of thin-film which is air-cooled. The round bubble then collapses because it passes via nip rollers (topmost point) and the collapsed film is wound on a roller. At this time, Please do not forget that when a round bubble will get collapsed, you get two layers of film. The steel hoppers are the ones from which the resin granules are fed. The roller on which the film is wound is then taken to the finishing department for printing, cutting and making bags by sealing one end of the required size. In other words, we can say that  we produce 100% organic, biodegradable and eco-friendly products made from natural starch, like tapioca and vegetable oil derivatives. Their bag manufacturing process is entirely different from that of plastic, cloth, or paper bags.  We use mainly 1 ingredients tapioca with vegetable oil. All raw materials are first turned into liquids and then undergo a six-step procedure until the end product is formed. We don’t use any chemicals at all. Even the paint used for printing on the bags is natural and organic.

Why we should use only Biodegradable?

Biodegradable Plastic Bags are excellent for the atmosphere as they’re very efficient for proper waste administration.
The microorganisms can simply decompose them and change them into helpful natural compounds Unlike plastic bags, they don’t leave behind any poisonous chemical compounds after decomposing. However, manufacturing of compostable bins & bags doesn’t absorb a lot of energy. As we are compostable carry bags manufacturers, so we know this very well. What does this mean for you? They help in the reduction of the greenhouse effect and provide essential nutrients back to the soil. Regular plastic bags are non-biodegradable and occupy useless areas within the landfills and choke the storm drains resulting in floods.
